How to spray paint galvanized parts? Galvanized parts can be directly sprayed during processing.
1. You can choose the color of the paint according to your preference. It is recommended to use alkyd primer for the base and alkyd topcoat for the cover.
2. The galvanized sheet does not need any processing. It can be directly sprayed with an air compressor + spray gun.
3. For outdoor use, it is recommended to use iron red anti-rust paint or medium gray anti-rust paint.
4. Dry naturally outdoors. If conditions permit, galvanized parts can be phosphated, or a thin layer of phosphating primer can be sprayed first. Or the smooth surface of galvanized parts can be sandblasted.
Wipe the surface of galvanized workpieces and galvanized pipes with a solvent (i.e. epoxy zinc yellow primer thinner) to remove the protective layer of the workpiece crude oil and increase the cleanliness.
Two-component epoxy zinc yellow primer: strictly mix the paint according to the ratio of paint and curing agent, and after aging for 30 minutes, adjust the appropriate construction viscosity and spray it. One-component epoxy ester zinc yellow primer: adjust the appropriate construction viscosity and apply the correct construction method.
Galvanized parts are non-ferrous metals, which have poorer adhesion than black metals. The commonly used alkyd iron red primer and epoxy iron red primer on the market are not suitable for galvanized parts, otherwise they will easily fall off. It should be pointed out that the use of alkyd paint on galvanized parts will cause saponification reaction, which will not only make the coating ineffective, but also damage the original galvanized layer.
