How To Avoid Indentation During Sheet Metal Bending

How to avoid indentation during sheet metal bending

During sheet metal bending, due to the influence of factors such as molds and bending pressure, the folded sheet is often affected, with varying degrees of indentation or scratches, affecting the appearance and quality of the bent parts. To avoid indentation, we need to find out the cause to eliminate it.

These two reasons can cause indentation during sheet metal bending:

1. The mold is not cleaned properly, so before the product is formed, we need to check whether there is waste on the surface or inside of the mold.

2. There is a problem with the structure of the die V groove. The larger the R angle of the die V groove, the smaller the pressure between the sheet and the die V groove shoulder, and the lighter the indentation, and vice versa.
