Although there are many kinds of stamping dies used for processing stamping parts, they can be roughly divided into three categories, namely single-process dies, progressive dies, and compound dies. Single-process dies can only complete one stamping process, so the production efficiency is very low and the precision is also low. Therefore, progressive dies and compound dies are more suitable for mass production.

The advantages of progressive dies are as follows:

1. The production efficiency of progressive dies is the highest among the three types of dies. Progressive dies can complete multiple complex stamping processes at different stations in one stamping stroke, and the number of stations will not limit its production efficiency;

2. The progressive die can complete the entire work procedure with one positioning, so the stamping parts produced are of high precision; 3. The use of progressive dies is automated and easy to operate;

4. When operating a progressive die, there is no need to reach into the interior of the equipment, so it is highly safe;

5. The structure of the progressive die is relatively strong, can withstand a variety of external forces, and can adapt well to strict processing conditions, so it has a long service life.
