Quality inspection standards for galvanized sheets

The quality requirements for high-quality galvanized sheets include specifications, dimensions, surface, galvanizing amount, chemical composition, shape, mechanical properties and packaging.

1.Packaging

It is divided into two types: galvanized sheet cut into fixed lengths and galvanized sheet packaging in coils.

2. Specifications and dimensions

Relevant product standards list the recommended standard thickness, length and width of galvanized sheets as well as their allowable defects. In addition, the width and length of the board and the width of the roll can also be determined according to user requirements.

3. Surface

Galvanized sheets have different surface conditions due to different treatment methods in the coating process, such as ordinary zinc flowers, fine zinc flowers, flat zinc flowers, no zinc flowers, and phosphating treated surfaces.

4. Galvanizing amount

Standard value of galvanizing amount: Galvanizing amount is a widely used and effective method to indicate the thickness of the zinc layer of galvanized sheets.

5.Machine function

It is generally required that after the galvanized sheet is bent 180 degrees, there should be no separation of the zinc layer on the outer surface, and there should be no cracks or breaks in the base of the sheet.

6.Chemical composition

The requirements for the chemical composition of galvanized substrates are stipulated in different standards in various countries. If Japan does not request it, the United States will. Generally no product inspection is done.

7.Plate shape

There are two indicators for weighing the quality of board shape, namely straightness and sickle curve. There are certain regulations on the maximum allowable values of plate flatness and sickle bend.
